The Power of Water-Based Paints
Most common rust-converting agents are oil-based, and although they can convert surface rust, it is difficult to reach the root of the rust.
Taking advantage of the fact that rust easily absorbs moisture, SABI KILLER PRO was developed as a water-based coating. It penetrates not only the surface of the rust, but also deep into the rust to maintain its conversion action.
Oil-based paints can indirectly pose a fire hazard since thinners and other chemicals are often used with them. Also, when and where they are applied are often subject to limitations while a lot of work may be necessary, and they generally have strong odors. To avoid these problems, environmentally-friendly, water-based paints are becoming increasingly common in recent years.

Moisture leads to rust, and so the questions arise: Can a rust-preventing paint actually be water-based? How can such a paint not spread rust?
The water-based SABI KILLER PRO was developed based on our deep understanding of rust’s nature. First, moisture is required in order for rust to be converted. Second, rust quickly absorbs moisture. This allows for quick absorption of SABI KILLER PRO and deep penetration of the product into the rust, resulting in a rust-proofing effect.

There is a concern that the use of Rust Killer Pro, whose paint is expensive, will increase costs.
However, if painting without rust protection or using inexpensive rust-preventive paint forces the re-painting of the building at an earlier frequency due to recurrence of rust, the labor costs (for cleaning, scaffolding, curing, painting, etc.) and work time and effort (preparation and arrangements, restrictions during work, etc.) will be much higher, and as a result, using RustKiller Pro will cut both costs and effort in the long run.
